“If you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely.”
I devoured Jennifer L. Scott’s memoir on her time in Paris. I read her first book in two days and especially enjoyed her observations on having a ten item wardrobe. For three years, I practiced the ten item wardrobe concept and loved how simple it was to get dressed in the morning. It eliminates standing and staring at your closet with no idea of what to put on.
I would encourage anyone to embrace the concept of a capsule wardrobe. There is no shame in wearing the same items over and over. As stated by Sarah LaFleur,
“Your clothes should be the least interesting thing about you.”
Some pieces of clothing become long-term staples. This outfit below worn by Christine is built around basics. A black shirt dress, low top sneakers, a tan leather handbag, and aviators. All classics that can last for season after season. Comfortable and functional.
