A House Tour with Old Home Love

Today’s home tour includes photographs from Andy and Candis Meredith, a couple whose mission is to save and restore old homes. These are some of my favorite photos of their work. Starting with my absolute favorite, this floral staircase mural has inspired my next home project. Every photograph and room is full of beautiful yet attainable ideas. Nothing too ‘perfect’ which makes it all the better.

Vintage rugs are used throughout all the homes they restore. White glossy paint on the walls and cabinets make the house feel bright and clean. Blue wedge wood on display, favorite oil paintings, and antiques are what make a house feel like a home.

Believe it or not, I have occasionally seen crystal light fixtures sitting out at yard sales. They are covered in layers of dust, but wonderful homes like these remind you of the potential all those old pieces truly have. The small oil paintings are another item I see often at yard sales and flea markets. I love how they have sprinkled through out this house, hung in unexpected places.

You can read their book Old Home Love and visit their blog for more inspiration. It is full of old home restoration tips. Thank you so much, Andy and Candis, for allowing me to share!
